Dr. Emmer joined ENT and Allergy Associates of Florida in April, 2008 after being in private practice in South Florida since 1996.  Dr. Emmer received his medical degree from the University of Des Moines Medical School in 1991, and completed his general surgery residency and his Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery residency at Oakland General Hospital in Madison Heights, MI.

Dr. Emmer is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Otolaryngology and is active in the American Academy of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Florida Society of Otolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery, Florida Medical Association and the Network of Florida Otolaryngologists. Dr. Emmer serves as Chief of ENT at St. Mary's Hospital for the past 12 years. Dr. Emmer is on the teaching staff at Florida Atlantic University Medical School and Nova Southeastern University.
