Sonia Hamidi AuD

Dr. Sonia Hamidi, Au.D., earned her Doctorate in Audiology from West Virginia University, where she also completed her Bachelor of Science in Speech Pathology and Audiology, and a Certificate in Disability Studies.

Dr. Hamidi is board certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) and a member of the American Academy of Audiology, Florida Academy of Audiology, and Academy of Doctors of Audiology.

Throughout her academic career, Dr. Hamidi obtained experience in a wide variety of clinical settings, including ENT private practice, hospital settings, public school system and Audiology private practice. Dr. Hamidi completed her fourth year externship at Metropolitan ENT in Alexandria, VA.

Dr. Hamidi’s areas of expertise include:

  • Diagnostic and Rehabilitative Audiology for Adult and Pediatric Populations
  • Diagnostic and Rehabilitative Audiology for the Intellectually and Developmentally Disabled Population
  • Vestibular/Balance Assessment and Treatment
  • Selection and fitting of Amplification
  • Counseling and Aural Rehabilitation
  • Electrophysiological Assessment
  • Diagnosis and Treatment of TMJ Disorders
  • Tinnitus assessment, management and counseling
